NYC’s livest hip-hop band, Dujeous, released this compilation mixtape in 2009 to coincide with a west coast tour they did that year. They have a history of putting these tight family style mixes together. Alongside Dujeous & Jigsaw The Puzzler, this has contributions from Potluck, S.O.U.L Purpose, Delta, Ishi Dube, and Murs. Also featured is the impossible to find rap version of “Hiding Clothes” by Everyday Wonders dance music unit, Wildlife. Taylormade, Tomek, & Apex of Dujeous bang out on the boards along with east coast / west coast killa, Just One, and a few others.

One of many B Eazy, Everyday Wonders Collabos. This is off his crazy 2008 mixtape, Fuck Tha Game, but I think we did it a year or two before. He had the beat for a minute and came and dropped this off one new years day. Wild. This joint is straight rhyming done really right and the beat (EW) is all day. Seriously, this joint is straight rhyming done really right. BK Stand.

The first single and video from Delta’s 2009 sophomore album, The Second Story. On this one Delta’s back with longtime collaborator, Mojo The Cinematic, from NYC’s livest hip-hop band, Dujeous. Also featured are Tom Brenneck & Dave Guy of internationally acclaimed (NY all day tho) soul super group, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. This is all world business with half of the video being shot in Delta’s native Australia, and half being shot in NYC by Everyday Wonders Productions. Director Lucas Hanson and his team laced it up seamless.

Rappin’ 4-Tay - Off Parole (8.5X11) (Promo Sticker)

This sticker is not from a NYC artist or even a artist that got play in NY. We used to see his video for “Playaz Club” on the video request channel The BOX and laugh because we thought he was biting Outkast’s “Player’s Ball” song concept with a song that wasn’t nearly as good. Still, its kind of tuff. This sticker had a bigger impact in NYC than any Rappin’ 4-Tay song because it was one of, if not the, first 8.5X11 hip-hop promo stickers to really get plastered citywide. Another early prolific 8.5X11 was for the Biz Markie song “Studda Step” but it was partly script letters. Later Fat Joe, Big Pun, and really a ton of others got off with this style. Bold letters no confusion.

[FREEcomics] Raphael Tanghal (RIFRAF) (FEB2005)

LOOK OUT FOR THE RETURN OF FREEcomics COMING SOON

This is our first compiled beat tape. It’s put together in 1998 and has beats on it probably from 1995-1998. Check around the blog for some of the joints that wound up getting laid over a few of these beats.
